Gurpreet Randhawa and Kuldeep Kaur

Abstract

This paper reviews the existing literature relating to organizational climate and its relationships with some of its key correlates. The paper is divided into four sections. Section I presents an insight into key job attitudes (job satisfaction, organization commitment, and job involvement) and their relationship with organizational climate. Section II provides a brief understanding of employee behaviors (turnover intentions, organization citizenship behavior, workplace deviance, and work performance) and their relationships with job attitudes considered in the present study. Section III presents a proposed theoretical model of organizational climate and its correlates. Section IV presents the conclusions and implications. On the basis of review of existing literature, 15 hypotheses have been proposed which shows the relationship between organizational climate and its correlates. In the end, a theoretical model is proposed based on these relationships.
